Welcome to East Lincoln Christian Church
East Lincoln Christian Church is a vibrant congregation on Lincoln's east side at 70th and Edenton Road where we've been since 1994. We're also an historic congregation dating back to 1890 when we were on the east side of town on North 27th street! Times have changed and so have we. What hasn't changed is this congregation's dedication to loving God and welcoming people into loving relationships with each other through Jesus Christ.
East Lincoln Christian Church is part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and like other congregations in our denomination we care about each other and about those in the world beyond our church doors. This is a church where everyone is welcome. We have no dress-code and we don't ask you to check your brain at the door. We're old and young and in-between and we celebrate the gifts God has given each of us. You can find out more about our denomination at www.disciples.org and more about us on this web page, and by joining us in worship or in any of our ministries. If you have questions we hope you'll contact us, call, or come by.

Like most Christians, Disciples Affirm:
- Jesus Christ is the son of the Living God
- All persons are God's children
Beliefs and practices usually associated with Disciples include:
- Open Communion. The Lord's Supper, or Communion is celebrated in weekly worship. It is open to all who believe in Jesus Christ.
- Freedom of belief. Disciples are called together around one essential of faith: belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Persons are free to follow their consciences guided by the Bible, the Holy Spirit study and prayer, and are expected to extend that freedom to others.
- Baptism by immersion. In baptism the old self-centered life is set aside, and a new life of trust in God begins. Although Disciples practice baptism by immersion, other baptism traditions are honored.
- Belief in the oneness of the church. All Christians are called to be one in Christ and to seek opportunities for common witness and service.
- The ministry of believers. Both ministers and lay persons lead in worship, service and spiritual growth.
